Maybe now people will finally wake up because they see that it’s no longer about what we’re leaving behind for some distant generation – it’s about our own future.

Addendum: I’ve just read (here) that there is an enormous change going on in the US car market, and hybrids are all the rage while SUVs have already become highly unpopular. Nice, although I was a tiny bit surprised that the author didn’t even mention public transport or car pooling as viable alternatives. I suppose that is because that would mean a change in lifestyle, instead of just replacing a vehicle with another one that is less harmful to the environment.
