Ghost of a Chain Wheel
I’ve been experimenting with analog stuff lately, and one of the things I tried was direct development of photographic paper. If you expose film (or photographic paper) long enough, it will actually develop through the incident light alone – without the need for any chemicals. That takes quite a lot of time, though: the image above required three days of exposure in sunlight.
And without a fixing bath, the resulting image is not permanent and will fade away as light continues to shine on it … very much like a ghost …
